New Pheasants Forever Chapter Launches North of Columbus - Dec. 16, 2009Ohio's Delaware and Franklin counties are home to the nation's newest chapter of Pheasants Forever. The group, named the Central Ohio Chapter of PF, becomes the state's 30th PF chapter and the first to service the Columbus area. Chapter leaders plan to focus their efforts on connecting area youngsters to the outdoors and America's hunting heritage.

COLUMBUS, OH - More than 15,000 ring-necked pheasants will be released on 30 public hunting areas across the state this fall, as part of a seasonal effort by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife to enhance hunting opportunities for this popular game bird.
Ohio Pheasants Forever Announces 2008 Habitat Accomplishments - Jan. 20, 2009
Waldo, Ohio - January 20 - For the third consecutive year, Ohio's Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) chapters have surpassed the $1 million mark in expenditures, spending $1,066,731 on the organization's wildlife habitat mission in 2008. Ohio PF/QF will celebrate these accomplishments at the Annual Ohio PF/QF State Meeting on Saturday, January 24th, at the All Occasions in Waldo.
Pheasants Forever Launches Build a Wildlife Area Campaign in Ohio - Jan. 19, 2009
Waldo, Ohio - January 19 - Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) announce the launch of the first annual Ohio Build a Wildlife Area (BAWA) campaign. Through the campaign, PF/QF and its partners will raise funds to be used for the acquisition and management of wildlife areas in Ohio. All funds raised through the campaign will be tripled by matching grants.

Ohio Native Returns Home as PF/QF's New Regional Wildlife Biologist - Nov. 05, 2007
Pheasants Forever, Inc. and Quail Forever announce that Douglas A. Bensman of California, Missouri, has been named the organization's new regional wildlife biologist in Ohio. Bensman joins PF/QF after spending the past two years as a private lands conservationist with the Missouri Department of Conservation. He succeeds Jim Inglis, who after six years in the position moved to the newly-created position of PF/QF farm bill biologist coordinator.
GRANTS TO DEVELOP "WILD SCHOOL SITES" AVAILABLE THROUGH ODNR - Jan. 08, 2007
Ohio teachers who have successfully used Project WILD in their classrooms can now provide students additional hands-on learning about wildlife and habitat through grants available from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
