Buffalo Butte Ranch is a 6,000 acre privately owned and operated farm which has been in our family for four generations.
This is something we take great pride in considering today's climate of mergers, corporate farming and 2nd party investors.

South Central South Dakota has been labeled "The Pheasant Capitol of the World" and for good reason. No other region compares to the wild bird numbers found in this part of the State and South Dakota has a reputation for pheasant hunting second to none.
The Springer's South Dakota hunting lodge (Buffalo Butte Lodge & Ranch) is located in the heart of this area known as the "Golden Triangle" An area between Gregory, Winner and Chamberlain and at the foot of the Buffalo Buttes.
Combo Hunts: Combine your pheasant hunt with: Sharptail grouse, coyote calling, Prairie Dog Hunting, Turkey Hunting, Walleye Fishing, or Buffalo Hunt.

The Buffalo Butte Lodge was built in 2003, over 4,000 square ft., and with a 32 X 40 great room on the upper level and a walk-out basement that boasts its own game room. The open front of the great room offers a fantastic view of the Dakota prairie.
For smaller party hunts, we offer Chalets that are built next door to the main lodge. The Chalets are built with the husband/wife, father/son or daughter hunt in mind. It's also the perfect setting for that one on one business hunt.
The Rates at Buffalo Butte Ranch
- 2 day 3 night hunts: $1495.00*
- 3 day 4 night hunts: $1795.00*
- Non-shooting guest, pilots (per day): $150.00*
*All fees will have SD state sales tax added. (5%)

All of our hunts are exclusive hunts. We let you choose your own friends and who you want to hunt with. For that reason, we prefer to book parties of 12 or more. For smaller, private hunts, rates will be negotiated. You are welcomed to bring your own dogs, provided all shots are current.
The Real Value: There are cheaper hunts out there and there are more expensive hunts available. Considering all the amenities we offer and by taking advantage of our discounts we are a very reasonable priced hunt. We have one simple price for our packages that is all inclusive.
