South Dakota Governor's Hunt Set for This Weekend
South Dakota's Invitational Governor's Hunt is set to take place this weekend in central South Dakota. The Governor's hunt, based out of Pierre, SD has been an annual event since the early 80's when it was resurrected by Governor Bill Janklow as an economic development effort to bring in business leaders interested in relocating their company to South Dakota.Updated rental rates are now available for new Conservation Reserve Program contracts. In many areas of South Dakota, average CRP rental rates have increased 10 percent to 20 percent, making them much more competitive with local cash rent.

Participants will meet at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game's Salmon Region office, 99 Highway 93 N, where they will learn about pheasants and hunting with dogs.
