HIP registration is required to hunt migratory birds this fall - Aug. 17, 2006
This years Nebraska dove hunting season opens Sept. 1 and hunters are reminded they must register with the federally mandated Harvest Information Program (HIP) and must carry their registration number with them when hunting any migratory game birds -- dove, duck, geese, snipe, rail, coot or woodcock -- during the 2006 hunting seasons.
Migratory Bird Hunting Season Dates Set - Aug. 14, 2006
The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) today announced the dates for the 2006-2007 migratory bird hunting seasons, which include seasons for hunting ducks, geese, woodcock, snipe, and rails.
Attention Rail, Snipe and Moorhen Hunters - Nontoxic Shotgun Shell Regulations in Effect for 2006 - Aug. 10, 2006
Beginning on September 1, hunters will be required to use shotgun shells loaded with nontoxic shot at all times while hunting rails, snipe, and moorhens in New Jersey.
Forever Wild Adds 20 Acres to Coldwater Mountain Tract in Calhoun County - Jul. 28, 2006
Twenty additional acres of mountain longleaf pine habitat are now part of Forever Wild’s Coldwater Mountain Tract in Calhoun County. The Rowan Tract will eventually contain an extensive mountain bike trail system.
