BBQ for Youth with Pheasants Forever and Greater American Ribs

Pheasants Forever is proud to present Greater American Ribs as a new partner in its national No Child Left Indoors® initiative. As part of its "Ribs for Ringnecks" fundraising program, 5 cents for every pound of Greater American Ribs' "Sunset Creek" brand sold will help Pheasants Forever's efforts to introduce youth and their families to the outdoors.
Every year, local Pheasants Forever chapters hold more than 500 youth events attended by more than 25,000 kids and teens. From youth mentored pheasant hunts, to family conservation field days, to educating educators through Pheasants Forever's Leopold Education Project (LEP), Greater American Ribs is supporting Pheasants Forever's well-rounded approach to leave No Child Left Indoors®.
"These fully cooked ribs give you an unforgettable experience," says Pete Soukup, National Director of Retail Sales of Greater American Ribs and also the youth/education chair of the Mississippi Longtails Pheasants Forever chapter in Minnesota, "But the most unforgettable experiences happen outdoors. Those of us at Greater American Ribs are one hundred percent behind Pheasants Forever's youth efforts and are excited to contribute."
In addition to the direct 5 cent contribution to Pheasants Forever for every pound of Sunset Creek brand ribs sold, local Pheasants Forever chapters will also have the opportunity to purchase Sunset Creek ribs at a special rate for use in fundraising at local banquets and other events.
Support Pheasants Forever and "Ribs for Ringnecks" by:
- Purchasing a package of Sunset Creek Ribs knowing your purchase will help provide opportunities for youth to experience the great outdoors!
- Organizing a fundraiser - with Sunset Creek ribs on the menu - for your local Pheasants Forever chapter that everyone will enjoy!
- If your local grocer doesn't carry Sunset Creek ribs, request it by name.
The "Ribs for Ringnecks" fundraising program runs through December 31st, 2011. The current distribution for Sunset Creek ribs is in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois, with future distributions slated for North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, California and Hawaii.
