"In the Wild with Pheasants Forever," the official outdoor radio production of Pheasants Forever, can now be heard on KORN 1490 AM out of Mitchell, South Dakota. The seven-minute "In the Wild" segment is recorded, produced and featured as part of The Big Wild, America's Premier Outdoor Radio Show. The show will premiere on KORN on January 2, 2010.
With the addition of KORN 1490 in Mitchell, The Big Wild is now broadcast weekly on 20 affiliates in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
"In the Wild with Pheasants Forever" is presented by Enbridge Energy Co. and features hunting tips, seasonal activities and conservation issues. Pheasants Forever's Anthony "Rooster" Hauck co-hosts the segment along with The Big Wild hosts "Gundy" and "Jymmy Pipes."
The Big Wild is just that, Big and Wild – a show where you can get your weekly outdoor "fix" with timely information, recipes and rustic entertainment. The Big Wild has been in syndication for more than seven years, and takes pride in being in being off-the-wall! Show guests have included the likes of Jeff Foxworthy, Ted Nugent, Joe Boucher, Charlie Daniels, Marty Stouffer and Jim Fowler.
