Deep Hollow Hunting Preserve is a family owned and operated bird hunting preserve, located in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Hunt bobwhite quail, chukars, and ringneck pheasants on 145 acres of open, wooded, and brush-covered hillsides, hollows, and fields. We offer hunting opportunities for the novice, moderate, and seasoned hunter. We offer half day and full day hunts. Our season runs from October through April.
Whether you're after Ring-Neck Pheasant, Ruffle Grouse, Chucker or Quail, we can tailor a hunt to fit your particular skill level, from beginner to expert. Our 7 different bird fields provide a diverse hunting environment with both grain and natural habitats.
Oak Ridge offers quality game bird hunts from October through March. Hunts include your choice of quail, chukar or pheasant. You may have the option of an unguided or guided hunt. Half-day (3 hours) hunts by appointment only are offered. Discounted Membership Packages are available. Hunters are responsible for providing personal gear to include guns and current hunting license.
Half day hunts are offered 7 days a week. Morning hunts start at 9 a.m., and afternoon hunts at 1:30 p.m. Hunters may use their own dog, or with advance notice, a dog and handler can be provided.
Pheasant/Upland Hunting in the Blue Ridge -- We are a family owned and operated hunting preserve located at the foot of the Priest Mountain in rural Nelson County Virginia. PriestView provides a relaxed, safe hunting experience for bird hunters of all levels of experience. Guided or independent hunts for quail, pheasant, or chukar.
Upland pheasant hunts are offered from September through April, seven days a week in half-day segment. Pheasant hunting is a specialty and Primland's early release methods ensure an abundance of hard-flushing, flighty birds. Shooting is done in hedgerows, woodlands and plantings of Milo, sorghum and switch grasses. Primland has been an Orvis endorsed wingshooting lodge since 1990.
Hunt pheasant or chukkar on over 900 acres of prime planned plantings of grain crops. Flight conditioned game birds are available to hunt twice daily. We offer fields of grain sorghum, cedar hedgerows briar thickets and open woods hunting. We can handle up to eight hunting parties simultaneously and often on short notice during the preserve season (September 1st until April 30).
We offer guided or unguided hunts - exclusively for your party - where you will experience nature at its purest. Whether kicking up a covey of quail, or finding pheasant and chukars along a brushy fencerow, our meticulously maintained Virginian preserve is a sportsman's paradise.
We offer hundreds of acres of rolling fields managed especially as gamebird cover. The habitat is excellent, the birds are wary and strong-flying, a combination that guarantees challenging and exciting hunts. You’ll hunt Bobwhite quail, hard-flying pheasants and chukar partridges flushed from a combination of cover types: standing corn, grass and weed fields, and brushy hillsides.
Hunt birds that flush and fly strong in great habitat. From singles rising from sparse field cover, to large coveys in wooded areas, we can tailor the hunt to the skill and physical condition of the hunter. We will clean and vacuum pack your birds at no charge.
