We have the kind of habitat that pheasant and quail thrive,....cornstalk fields, fence row cover and the grassy areas. You have the option of hunting upland birds on your own, or hiring one of our expert bird guides for the day. The guide will supply hunting dogs and transportation to the field areas. You are also welcome to bring your own dog along to hunt these birds.

Theirs has a lot of natural feed & cover,( river and drainage ditch banks, gravel pits, wooded areas, hillsides with grass & brush) resulting in a migration of birds to our farm. Pheasant Haven seeded their pastures to prairie grass and started planting corn & sorghum plots for more cover and feed.

Our goal is to duplicate regular pheasant hunting, but offer the advantages of the preserve. As a hunter myself, I find the hunting more enjoyable and just as challenging as it was before we became a preserve.

There are some cane areas planted for extra winter cover. We do not take more than 3 reservations at a time so you have over 200 acres to hunt on. You are welcome to bring your own dog or we lease dogs for $25 a day.
