    Default SW ND Crop Progress

Does anyone have a report on the harvest progress in the SW part of the state? Primarily around the Reeder, Scranton, and Bowman areas.

    Thanks in advance!

Well it is about to go to a stand still. Wednesday - Friday they expect 10" - 14" of snow across that area.

Saturday is opener with winds in the mid to upper 20s gusting higher.

Plenty of wheat still in the fields.Probably around 25% yet to go in some areas. Corn and sunflowers will not be combined until November at the earliest with the corn possibly much later as it did not mature to black layer. It is WET and most streams are running full bore from the rain events before this. If we get 10 to 14 inches of snow half of all the roads or more will be too wet for opener.

Yeah I figured with the snow storm everything would be stopped in itís tracks. Hopefully this early snow wonít have too much of an affect on those young birds.

hope they don't get as much as they are saying ….looks like some cold temps are on the way for a day or two for them also.
