Cool hunt! Missouri is on my to do list. Would love to
get a rooster there. Kinda a goal of mine , to get a rooster from all the mid west states in the pheasant range. Good to see a youngster out too!!

I recognized the area from the pics as I live close. I havenít hunted it this year but knew of the birds there as itís kind of a out of the way place that gets pressure from deer hunters.Glad you had a good hunt !

Have been out a few times over the holidays. Been finding quail in obvious spots still. Pheasants are a bit of a bonus for me this year, when I find em it seems like there are a bunch but very spooky and I have to rely on a couple of dummies to hang around. The weather has been playing a huge part as it was much warmer through December and January so far than the oddly cold November we had. Either way been having success and have hunted quite a few new areas this year. One week left!

A few days after xmas with a different gun as requested by Mr. Watermen. A bit more challenging but also deadly.

Buddy's Shorthair I helped train years ago. She has turned into a fine bird dog.

Headed out west these last few days. Had some rough moments and some good ones. Was still pleased with the number of birds seen but all were very educated. Managed to find a few dummy's and end the season on a good note.

If you look real close you can see peach up ahead of stella my dads dog. They both had singles pointed. Suede hasnt seen them yet. Grass was rather tall in this area.

Peach with both sides bloodied from her tail. She really hunted well. She had some rocky moments this season but had some nice points and memorable retrieves on this last trip. She really covers the ground too.

Day 3 was a different story. Great end to a rough start. But overall a great season.
