    Default 28ga Rio Royal Pheasant????

Hi all, has anyone used this load? Looking at the 1oz Copper Plated in 28ga. I'm curious to know how it performed and if the shot is truly plated or just washed.

    Any comments would be great!

    1oz in a 28 ga seems a bit too much, try 7/8

I have not tried it. I started using Hevishot Duck and Hevishot Pheasant in 6's last season.
I have been pleased with them.

I have been using Fiocchi Golden Pheasant in the #5 and #6 for the past 3 years with very good success #5 if just pheasant; mostly DOA if shot within a reasonable distance. #6 when their is a possibility for quail.

I like the Hevishot Duck in the sub gauges because they hit harder for me than both steel or lead
So many of the CRP lands will not allow lead shot

I can't help with the Rio pheasant load for 28ga. But, another vote for the nickel plate 28ga Fiocci Golden Phez load.

I have used B&P 28 gauge 1 1/16 oz in number 6. Deadly on pheasants.
