    USDA Authorizes Emergency Grazing in Drought Stricken Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.

    That was title of latest press release from the gov.

    Thanks for the update Gumboot. It is important to note that it looks like just grazing is open and not haying at this time.

    Yes and at this point certain practices also.

    They got about 1.8" of rain west of Pierre today. Not sure how wide spread it was but that's an overdue rain that was appreciated.

    2.5" of rain in the gauge at my farm in the past week. Another hail event yesterday shredding the corn pretty good. So 2 hail events in June. I have not seen one on our farms ever where it has done damage to crops.

    My ground was hammered by hail a few weeks back. On top of that we have had no rain, I'm afraid it's going to be a tough year for the farmers, and the birds.... depressing!!
