    Default WTB used pheasant surrogator

I live in minnesota and I am interested in buying a used surrogator to raise pheasants. I don't want to pay $2000 for a new one.

An outdoor brooder would be best. Look on line. You may be disappointed. I see them used for around $1000.00.

They don't work very well. You would be better off raising them in a shed or pen to full grown then releasing later, even better in spring. School of hard knocks.

I got to spend some time on a ranch where they have been using a surragator the past two years. I was quite impressed with the results they have had. This was with quail not pheasant though.

Yep, no clue about quail. Just pheasants. I know a few who tried them on pheasants and the same result. Not good. You have to release them to young. Quail I would think you could keep them longer just by size.
