Maybe this picture will make you smile. Was walking out to check snow in the unharvested corn field and flushed these two. SDviking

OK wow my previous post sounds like a real bummer. It's really not that bad but hunters should sense a change from the old days. On a good note the...

I agree with you, there just isn't enough public shooting areas that have adequate habitat to maintain pheasant populations that can keep up with the...

Agree with haymaker, we shot just under 2 birds per hunter mostly due to poor shooting. Only had one dog and it was dry so it was tough to find down...

I just read what you said about giving permission to one truck and 14 guys showed up to hunt. HA!! I fell for that one before myself, and I too, have a bad taste about letting anyone else on. A guy asked if he could just hunt squirrels with his kid on the property I leased to deer hunt? Figured no problem as my kids were to little to squirrel hunt at the time (they are 12 & 14 now, and I take them to SD to hunt pheasants for a week each year now), and he used that as an opportunity to bring his friends along with his “Kid” that never showed up I eventually found out. Just wanted to say I sympathize with you.
