Sounds about right for one with nice wood that fits well.

There was some discussion here last season re trigger problems with the gun, but Benneli/Franchi took care of any as I recall. I hope so because I have a Destino, the fancier straight stocked version. The wood is gorgeous so I have never shot it. The current Weartherby version, Italia, I beleive is the same gun.

The Highlanders were a failure for Franchi. They had high hopes for them but about 8 months ago they closed them all out and you could buy one from CDNN for 999.00. I had a 12b that I sold, I wasn't nearly as impressed with it when i got it home as I was in the store. I also have a Destino, but they aren't the same gun. I used the Destino for a year as my main bird gun and liked it. I've since went to double triggers and won't go back to a single trigger.
