The Illinois Conservation Foundation’s annual Gary Watson Celebrity Quail and Pheasant Hunt on Nov. 14-16 will feature quail and pheasant hunting, along with trap, skeet and sporting clays shooting, all to benefit ICF youth hunting, fishing, and educational programs in Illinois. The 16th annual event will be held at the Rend Lake Resort complex in Franklin County.
“The Celebrity Quail and Pheasant Hunt is one of our most popular and successful events each fall, giving outdoorsmen and women a chance to enjoy some great shooting and hunting at one of the Illinois’ best outdoor recreation destinations,” said Mark Spangler, Executive Director of the Illinois Conservation Foundation. “Participants always enjoy this hunt, and they also know the proceeds from the event help support programs that encourage our youth to experience the outdoors.”
This year’s Celebrity Quail and Pheasant Hunt activities include:
Sun., Nov. 14 – Lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Trap, skeet and sporting clays shooting from noon until 4 p.m. Reception and pairings party at Rend Lake Resort from 5-9 p.m.
Mon., Nov. 15 – Breakfast from 7-9 a.m. One-Box Team Shooting competition and open quail and pheasant hunting from 9 a.m.-noon Lunch from noon-2 p.m. Quail and pheasant hunting from 2-5 p.m. Dinner and awards program from 6-9 p.m.
Tues., Nov. 16 – Breakfast from 7-9 a.m.
The ICF Celebrity Quail and Pheasant Hunt is presented by the ICF and Fabick CAT. All ammunition is provided by Winchester Ammunition.
Individual hunt packages are $600, which includes hunting and shooting activities, lodging, meals, refreshments, and shells. The Illinois Conservation Foundation is an IRS 501 (c) (3) approved organization. A portion of the cost of an individual hunt package is deductible for federal income tax purposes.
