POYNETTE - The Department of Natural Resources will be hosting three public meetings next month to discuss a wide range of issues related to pheasants, the agency announced today.
Topics include the cooperative Day-old Chick (DOC) Program, pheasant stocking, hunter recruitment, the State Game Farm and general pheasant hunting questions.
“The Department, with input from DOC clubs, made some improvements to the DOC program, including a landowner notification requirement, reporting changes, and form updates. These meetings are an excellent opportunity to communicate with DOC clubs and to field questions about pheasant hunting in Wisconsin,” noted State Game Farm supervisor Bob Nack, Poynette.
