Default Wpra

I read that the radio collared pheasants that were released in two of the WPRA are doing well with survival rates. Survival rates between the Central Penn. and Schuylkill WPRA averaged 80% and the survival rate of the second release in the Schuylkill WPRA was 100%. Just passing along some information I came accross.

That is fantastic! It's hard to imagine 100% survival on any trap n transfer project. Those boys down there must of done a great job on the habitat. Thanks for posting.

Just curious, any note on the reproduction, i.e. percentage increase over base number of pheasants? Steve

The only thing I have seen is a graph about the crowing counts survey on Central Susquehanna PF website.

crowing count link:

http://centralsusquehannapf.org/page59.html

This years crowing counts have not been done yet (as far as I know).

That's perfect Bauerline. From the graph, it appears as though the population is growing. I'm sure we'll hear something later this summer regarding the population from the PA biologists. Thanks! Steve
