John, You sure enough have lots of stuff going, kids are great they do tend to take up a lot of time though. Our kids are grown and off doing their own thing. Daughter and SIL from Ca visited over Memorial Weekend.
Fishing has been good lately, Walleye and Bluegill are tasty critters.
Cape Cod sounds to me like would be an interesting place to visit.
You did your homework on getting the right pup, she will be a fantastic hunter. I can't wait to get Star out after birds again. She is Chocolate, about 80 pounds just about to turn 3. She really seems to be a perfect dog. Minds well, is spoiled. We go out to the ranch daily, the ranch is about 10 miles from our home. I like it that way, all mine out there and lots of land for me and the pups to run, plenty of ponds for the Labs to swim whenever they feel like it, for Star that's pretty often now days.
I'll keep in touch and tell what I do and what I find on my Sept trip.
Hey Wayne!
Glad to hear you're keeping busy. Me too. Let's see? Wife and Child(4), two dogs (one almost 5 months), work, golf, fishing(not yet). Yeah, plenty to do!
The pup, Darby, is coming along purty good. I don't have time to train as much as I should, but she is an awesome pup. She has such great instincts from her breeding, I don't need to teach her to want birds. I need to finish obedience training well so i can control her. She starting to swim pretty good, and fetch dummies thrown not too far from shore. I am going to start gun shot conditioning soon. All in all, I like where we are.
My niece is getting married on Cape Cod when I usually head to MT. I will be going, it just may be in early Nov. I'll chase grouse in WY and ID, and then take her for her first rooster hunt on the Idaho opener. Lastly I'll be back in WY in Dec for my annual Pearl Harbor Day trip. Let me know what you got planned.
John
John very good. Don't know if I mentioned it to you. I have either sex rifle elk in the North Breaks. Same with deer. I usually take some time to do a little bird hunting, give the dogs some exercise.
I'll give you a call when I head to Malta.
Wayne,
I'll look for your Duramax. Heck, I may be solo some days. Maybe we can hunt. Just can't find out if my friend here is going, and my buddy from Bozeman is about as easy to get a hold of as a greased pig.

I'm going for sure the Oct 22 for elk and deer. I haven't decided if I'll go out early for bird
Been thinking not. pheasants and grouse are going to hard to come by, expense is a problem too. Waterfowl hunting will be great. So might decide to be out there for the Pheasant opener. How about you?
I'm back. Took a long while off the forum to grow up and not be so confrontational. Hope you guys are all doing well. Have you heard how the birds are doing up near Malta? Only a month away till our trip.
