Hunted scratch birds at Central Penn. today. Two pheasants and one quail fell to the 28ga and missed too many too count. I have 2 very tired springers now. http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss254/springerjohn/IMG_0315.jpg

They may be tired, but I know them Springers are HAPPY! :thumbsup: Thanks for sharing! It's going to be a long night, can't wait to get out!

We hunted the swamps and thick stuff today and did pretty good. I forgot that today was bear season, there were some guys on the edge of some of the swamps and I was glad Dugan is mostly white and not a Gordan setter, time to pull out the orange dog vest.

We were not in Bradford County today John, although we plan on hitting it next week. We hunted in Wayne County today, there are not a "LOT" of opportunities, but there are a few gems. Some farms and the state release birds on less than ideal habitat and they quickly end up in the swamps! If you hit it right you can have some really good hunting,rarely have we not had some action.
