Near Boise

So I am going hunting hopefully saturday and hope to find some good pheasant spots. I have been to some local areas but it's all infested with private land and no shooting signs or blm land. Anyone know a good place to start without driving an hour or more? Maybe an hour is ok.

Try the south end of CJ Strike. It is about 20 miles south of Mountain Home. West of the small river the road crosses, on the lake side of the road. The name I cant remember. Starts with a B. I've found pheasant and quail down in there before.

The Bruneau River, I just remembered.

And remember, BLM is good to hunt if it is adjacent to cropland. Especially wheat and barley.
