A few weeks ago a few friends and I spent a weekend hunting in Cheyenne Wells,CO. The weather on Saturday was not great but Sunday morning we each had our limit by 10:00am.

I went there with some friends opening weekend. The railroad tracks are illegal to hunt, but a party we didnt know did anyway they pushed pheasants our way which we got like 5 just from them....We also hunted idalia and we got a group total of 25 roosters.

Im heading up to cheyenne wells in the morning if i can find out if there is public hunting land? if so where? and any tips will help.... thank you

I was riding with a friend who lives out there and knows all of the farmers. We went south of town and did good.
