Akron

Does anyone hunt around Akron. I heard it used to be pretty good but haven't been there in years. Thought about giving it a try in a couple weeks. Is that far enough east or should I keep goin.

If you're coming all the way from Grand Junction, GO FURTHER EAST to make it worth your while, unless somebody on here knows something more about the area than I do...So far I have never found the #'s of birds around there that the extra half-hour to hour eastward produces!

If was u here I would pursue further east also. Get into the irrigation neighborhood. Their may be birds by Akron but probly not as good as numbers as the irrigation will have.

I spent a day last season hunting the WIA south of there and Otis but didn't see many birds. However where I was hunting looked like it had been hunted hard the grass and wheat stubble was trampled down and the side of the road looked like a rest stop! I would head further east or try to find some private property to hunt.
