I just moved to the black hills. can anyone tell me if there are pheasants in the north west area of the state, ie buffalo area I'm just curious because i can get up there any day of the week and to get anywhere near the Missouri or east ward would take a week end trip or so. Thanks for the info good luck.

Check the distribution map out.

With that said don't be to discouraged. I hunt in the very SE corner of the state, pheasant numbers are low, and always manage to get birds.
