Was driving to one of my training grounds yesterday in Brookings County and seen a brood of about ten really young chicks. They were between the size of a quail and a partridge. They will have there work cut out to have color by opener. We had a wet spring with some heavy rains and alot of the chicks I have seen are fairly young.

Hey Brad how ya been. I have not seen that here. But you guy's did get worse weather at that time then us. Hope they make it. With a mild beginning to old winter they should be fine.

Brad, how are the birds looking in that general area this year? 2 of us come out in November and stay in Arlington and go mainly North and East of the home base. Bird numbers the last couple years seemed to be down-best wishes.

I really think they are going to be a little down again in eastern south dakota. Kingsbury county even had heavier rans then Brookings early in the spring.
