what does the bird pop. look like does it pay to book a trip? never been there and thinking on going the first week in nov?

It might be worth it to wait and see how the Game and Fish does on their August roadside counts which normally get published to the public sometime in early Sept. That is normally a pretty good indication on how the hatch came off.
That said, NoDak has and is loosing a bunch of CRP due to expiration of contracts this year. In the past Ashley area has been a pretty decent area. Typically the further west you go from their the better the overall populations are, but so to is the competition for good spots.

Ditto, did ducks there but for pheas, head straight west to Strawsburg. :thumbsup:

I have a farm 40 miles North of Ashley, and i have seen and heard quite a few more pheasants then the last 2 years. hope this helps.

Ashley area last season bird numbers were very low, should be some rebound this year but a long way to go. May never get back to mid 2000s unless CRP returns.
