Hi I am new to the forum. And I am going to try turkey hunting for the first time. But having a hard time finding turkeys on public land. So if any one can help me with some info on where to start scouting

Being in Kansas I don't know the area at all. But one easy way to find and area that has some turkeys is to go out on a day when it is raining. The turkeys will move out into open green fields. They don't generally stay in the trees when it is raining.

Call the Utah wildlife authorities or go to its website for turkey info.

There are lots of turkeys in South East Idaho around Preston which would leave me to believe thaat just south of there in northern Utah there would be some as well.
