Great corporate hunts at Buffalo Butte Ranch.
South Central South Dakota has been labeled "The Pheasant Capitol of the World" and for good reason. No other region compares to the wild bird numbers found in this part of the State and South Dakota has a reputation for pheasant hunting second to none. The Springer's South Dakota hunting lodge (Buffalo Butte Lodge & Ranch) is located in the heart of this area known as the "Golden Triangle" An area between Gregory, Winner and Chamberlain and at the foot of the Buffalo Buttes.
Much of the land west of the Missouri River is marginal farmland and is not planted fence line to fence line. Because of the natural terrain and conservation practices such as CRP and shelterbelts, the native pheasants flourish. You will soon realize that this is the right choice for you and your friends or clients.
Marshall, Colleen and family are the 4th generation on this farm and pheasant hunting has been a growing part of each generation. This is truly a family owned and operated business.
We have been farming since 1980 and have guided hunters each year since. To make your hunting experience complete, we currently have a brand new 4000 sq. ft. "Buffalo Butte Lodge". The lodge is first class in every aspect. It will sleep up to 21 and have a 32 X 40 great room, full kitchen and much more. But we know what you really come for, "The Hunt." Our hunts are in a variety of cover including milo, corn, sudan grass, cattails, treebelts and winding natural waterways and draws.
With over 6000 acres to hunt you will have many lasting memories. We hear many comments on how well the fields are laid out. Add to this some of the most beautiful back drops and sunsets you will ever see and you will agree with many of our past hunting friends that this is "the best kept secret."
Memories of truly great hunts always include time spent with friends. You and your friends can truly relax in the tranquil setting of our lodge. City lights and cars are replaced by stars and the howl of coyotes.
