Located in South Central South Dakota our property and lodge is centered on some of the best wild pheasant hunting South Dakota has to offer. With over 3000 acres of privately owned property all managed for a healthy wild bird population, you will have the chance to hunt a large variety of terrain. Unlike other outfitters, we pride ourselves in our exclusivity.

Perfect hunting for a small group sizes.

Every hunt booked with us is 100% exclusive. You will lodge and hunt only with the people you book with, and there is no minimum booking size.

Backcountry Outfitters "Chalets" at the bottom of the Buffalo Buttes in Gregory, SD.

Our brand new lodges (Chalets) are upscale in every aspect, and was designed specifically for small groups.

Each Lodge offers two bedrooms, one bath, kitchen, fireplace, and great room, no detail was overlooked and it offers the ultimate in serenity and solitude.

• 2 Day / 3 Night - $1,295 per gun
• 3 Day / 4 Night - $1,595 per gun
• 5 Day / 6 Night - $2,395 per gun

South Dakota sales tax not included
A 50% deposit is required at time of booking with the balance due at arrival.

A good look at the Buttes with Backcountry outfitters 2 lodges on the right, and the Buffalo Butte Main lodge on the left.

Our family has had the pleasure of hunting and guiding this territory for over twenty years and is dedicated to ensuring you enjoy the best SD has to offer.

We offer Backcountry Outfitters to smaller party hunts and small corporate executive hunts. Our larger main lodge is the Buffalo Butte Lodge is reserved for larger party hunts. All 3 lodges can be combined for a large group or hunt if needed.
