South Dakota Governor's Hunt Set for This Weekend
Oct. 22, 2010South Dakota's Invitational Governor's Hunt is set to take place this weekend in central South Dakota. The Governor's hunt, based out of Pierre, SD has been an annual event since the early 80's when it was resurrected by Governor Bill Janklow as an economic development effort to bring in business leaders interested in relocating their company to South Dakota.
Recognizing the strong desire of landowners across the state to establish and improve wildlife habitat, the Wildlife Division of the S.D. Game, Fish and Parks Department will again be hosting landowner habitat workshops with cooperating partners at 15 locations across South Dakota this winter.
