Wild ringneck pheasant hunting season opens the third weekend in October of each year. We hunt wild birds on native grass, food plots, CRP, waste ground, standing corn, river bottoms, and sloughs. Conservation practices have been in place at the ranch for many years and it shows. The 2007 population numbers were the highest seen in many years. Other game birds that may be encountered on an outing include Prairie chicken, Grouse, and Hungarian partridge.
